“Basketball Wives” star Gloria Govan was arrested for felony child endangerment. According to TMZ sources, Gloria’s ex-husband, former L.A. Lakers player Matt Barnes, was scheduled to pick up their twin boys on the Friday of the Labor Day weekend. Gloria arrived at approximately 2:55 pm to get the boys out of school. Shortly thereafter, Matt Barnes arrived once Gloria had gotten the boys into her car. Matt instructed the kids to get into his car since it was his weekend, which was substantiated by a court-ordered child support agreement.
The twin boys listened to Matt and got in his car. TMZ further reports that Gloria flew into a rage and followed Matt’s car. All the while, Gloria was in pursuit of him screaming and cursing. She somehow managed to block Matt’s car off with the boys inside the car. Someone called police. Police arrived and arrested Gloria for child endangerment and violating a court order. After showing police the child support order, Matt Barnes was allowed to leave with the boys. Gloria was released after posting $100,000 bail.
Gloria is currently married to Derek Fisher who is also an ex-Laker player. There is a history of beef between former teammates Matt and Derek since Matt believed Derek was hooking up with Gloria while Gloria was married to Matt. The beef seemed to be squashed after Matt Barnes congratulated Derek, back in April 2018, on his marriage to Gloria.
