“The College Dropout” rapper, some may say Kanye has dropped even further down into the “sunken place”. Kanye, or “Ye” as he just changed his name prior to appearing on Saturday Night Live, came out wearing a “Make America Great Again” hat. According to Fox News, Kanye’s performance ended and instead of thanking SNL, the audience, fans, etc, Yeezy proceeds to go into a Pro-Trump rant where he mentioned they tried to bully him backstage into NOT wearing the infamous MAGA hat. He talked about taking the black man out of the home and putting them on welfare being a Democratic plan.
Ye said, “There’s so many times I talk to a white person and [they] say, ‘How could you like Trump, he’s racist?’ Well, if I was concerned about racism I would’ve moved out of America a long time ago.” He also mentioned running for President in 2020 and while this is going on, SNL cast can be seen standing behind Kanye rolling their eyes and shaking their heads. Audience members, including Chris Rock, was recording this rant. Chris Rock can be heard sniggling and giggling (snickering) and saying “Oh my God” as he records on his Instagram Live.
Trump later tweeted, "Like many, I don’t watch Saturday Night Live (even though I past hosted it) - no longer funny, no talent or charm. It is just a political ad for the Dems. Word is that Kanye West, who put on a MAGA hat after the show (despite being told “no”), was great. He’s leading the charge!"
Kanye West also said in an interview with TMZ that, “I’ve been calling Colin [Kaepernick] this morning, reaching him so that I can bring Colin to the White House and we can remove that ‘sons of b*&%^s’ statement and we can be on the same page,” West said. Colin, who started his police brutality protest in 2016, has received a lot of backlash from the Prezzi. Trump has managed to portray Colin’s police brutality protest as an alleged attack against the United States flag and the individuals who fought for the flag. However, some people are in support of a Colin and Trump meeting including Senator Lindsey Graham and ex-NFL star Marcellus Wiley. Would you support such a meeting? What are your thoughts?
