Singer Rihanna declined an offer to headline the 2019 NFL superbowl. According to US Weekly, Rihanna doesn’t agree with the NFL’s stance on kneeling in protest. The offer to headline Superbowl 2019 was then extended to Maroon 5 who accepted. Amy Schumer took to Instagram in a long post where she mentioned she would not be doing any NFL commercials in support of Colin Kaepernick and the kneeling protest against police brutality and racial inequality. In her tweet, she said wouldn’t it be cool if Maroon 5 backed out like Rihanna did, basically calling on Maroon 5 to back out also. Singer Pink and Femcee Cardi B have reportedly declined also.
